Hi, I’m Gail
Gail’s Groom Room is a small holistic dog groomers in Roydon, South Norfolk: a dog salon with a difference. My priority is your dog’s happiness and well-being.
I want every dog to come in wagging their tail, happy to spend some time with “Auntie Gail”: playing with toys, having some cheese or just chilling on the floor for a belly rub. As long as your dog leaves happy, clean and tidy, I’m fully satisfied.
I specialise in dogs with anxiety, fear and aggression, and in rescue dogs. I absolutely love what I do, especially the challenge of building a relationship with the most closed off dogs.

Every dog is groomed on a 1 to 1 basis and treated as if they were my own.
Nothing is forced
The groom depends solely on how your dog is feeling on the day. I just want them to feel safe and happy.
Time to settle in
Dogs can spend some time with Auntie Gail: playing with toys, having some cheese or just chilling on the floor for a belly rub.

I’m a 1 to 1 holistic dog groomer, specialising in nervous, anxious and rescue dogs. If grooming has been hard for your dog before, nothing is forced here.
I would highly recommend Gail’s Groom Room. When I first took my dog Alfie to Gail he had become quite anxious and difficult during grooming. He immediately fell in love with Gail, and through her patience and holistic approach she has worked wonders with him. She now grooms both my dogs and they love going to see her as they get to socialise with other dogs, and get lots of love, cuddles and treats! So much more than just a hair cut.

A bath, then a cut and brush to suit your dog, so they leave happy, clean and tidy.
Nervous, anxious and rescue dogs
My speciality. Dogs with anxiety, fear or aggression, and rescue dogs who find grooming hard, are welcome here.
Older dogs and sore joints
Elderly dogs and dogs with joint pain aren’t rushed: they get rests when they need them, and a plan that suits them.

In autumn 2023, when the XL Bully ban was announced, I planned two days of free baths for the breed here at the groom room, to give a voice to XL Bully owners and show how loving and family-natured these dogs can be. On the first day I bathed Zero, using a non-toxic oat milk treatment to soothe his skin.
